“If you wait for the inspiration to write… you’re not a writer, you’re a waiter.”

 You can write about anything.

For example, cheese… yes there is a blog about cheese. And then there are mom blogs…. lots and lots of mom blogs, because let’s face it, who doesn’t want to hear about the rambunctious, ridiculous, yet “oh so sweet” adventures of conceiving, spitting out, and raising a little person? There are sex blogs, and religious blogs, and blogs for reviews of music and books and movies and just about any other obsession. There are blogs specifically designed for fashion, because it’s really important to be up to date on the trending shade for the season. There’s a few photography blogs and a couple travel blogs. There’s story blogs, for aspiring writers alike – and a few that are already rather successful. Oh! and one of my personal favorites…. love blogs or relations blogs. There’s blogs about the past and some for the future. The ideas, concepts, the possibilities go on forever. If it can be thought, it can be written and it probably has. You see, the blogger mantra is to identify with a particular topic, embrace your thoughts on said topic, write them down, shove them in to a bubble, and then post them. Then you wait, you wait for someone to seek out your blog based on their keen interest in whatever it is you’ve set your sights on. I haven’t taken the time to research the concept in its original forum or the time to discover just who’s idea this whole blogging thing was… but I’m woman enough to give credit where credit is due. It’s really a rather brilliant idea.

And then there’s all of this….

Unreally Written

  1. I recall the era of, “are you a blogger?” Oh geez everyone was BLOGGING. I didn’t know where to find any of it, and wasn’t interested. LOOK AT ME NOW. lol. Blogging. I get it now. I write. I don’t wait. I inspire my writing. I don’t wait for inspiration. Write people write. You suffered in school. Use that ed-mo-kay-shen. 😀 Have fun people and keep your minds open!

  2. Excellent piece. True, raw and very-well written. A topic that has haunted many a writer and makes up most of their struggle to write…and you exposed it brilliantly.

    Thanks for the follow
